Flagship donates over 76,500 meals to local food banks
Twice a year and especially in November heading into the holidays, the executive leadership team (ELT) at Flagship challenges associates to see which office can raise the most support for community members experiencing food insecurity. To incentivize associates to participate, as well as to make a larger impact in the community, the ELT donates additional financial contributions to the food banks based which offices raise the greatest amount of donations.
Along with bragging rights, the office that generates the highest support wins $5,000 from the ELT for the local food bank. The ELT also contributes $3,000 to the local food bank supported by the second place office and $1,000 to third place team’s local food bank.
In 2022, the food drive was conducted virtually, enabling associates to make financial donations in lieu of food donations. In total, 76,566 meals were contributed to food banks through the support of associates across the company and the additional donations from the ELT.
Associates in Flagship’s Tempe, Arizona office raised the highest support contributing $2,520 and winning the $5,000 corporate donation, for a total donation of $7,520. St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix, Arizona attributes seven meals to every dollar donated, representing 52,640 meals that directly support members of the community experiencing food insecurity during the holidays.
The Coppell, Texas office was close behind with associates contributing $2,260 to the North Texas Food Bank in Plano, Texas and earning the $3,000 contribution from the ELT. The North Texas Food Bank attributes three meals to every dollar raised, representing a combined total of 15,780 meals to support community members.
Associates in the Chadds Ford office supported the Food Bank of Delaware and raised $1,712 in support and earned the $1,000 donation from the ELT. With every dollar donated representing three meals, the Food Bank of Delaware equated the combined financial donation to 8,136 meals that will directly support members of the community during the holidays.
Flagship’s corporate culture is focused on always doing the right thing and supporting local nonprofits and organizations that enhance the quality of life for residents. This culture is displayed through the associates contributions to the local food banks, corporate programs conducted throughout the year, as well as the Volunteer Time Off program that enables associates to volunteer their time and expertise to support nonprofits and charities in the community.
