Gary Monk began his career at Flagship Credit Acceptance as an Area Sales Manager in June 2013.
After spending 20 years in the indirect auto finance industry, including seven years with a direct competitor, Gary joined Flagship and helped open the Alabama-Birmingham market for the Company.
Gary quickly established the market and built it to over 80 active dealerships in his first year.
In 2017, Gary decided to explore other opportunities outside of Flagship. He quickly found out that the associate experience at other companies was not quite the same as with Flagship. He felt that corporate decisions and communication were solely based on profit, with little consideration of the people, and he missed the Flagship environment.
Within a year of leaving, Gary’s old market opened, and he applied for his former position. When offered the role, the decision to return to Flagship was quickly made.
